HIGH SOCIETY .. BORD GAIS ENERGY THEATRE .. FEBRUARY 7TH 2013..

Two of Hollywood's classic films 'The Philadelphia Story' starring Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant and 'High Society' starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra, were both based on the life of a real socialite Helen Hope Montgomery. This new production is more in tune with the 1956 version with Crosby and Sinatra and features some wonderful songs, 'What is this thing called love?', 'Who Want's To Be A Millionaire?', 'Just One Of Those Things' and the classic 'True Love'. With a great cast headed by still dashing Michael Praed, who is best remembered for his roles in 'Robin of Sherwood' and 'Dynasty' and still can pack a tune. Daniel Boys, Marilyn Cutts, Sophie Bould and Alex Young are equally sparkling support and with a truly handsome production design the show is a good nights old fashioned entertainment and a lovely change from the glut of brash and noisy modern shows which litter theatres today.. The show made an early stop in Dublin on it's UK tour and is currently winging it's way around the British Isles...

CELINE DION .. THE COLOSSEUM LAS VEGAS .. CEASARS PALACE .. JANUARY 3RD 2013 ..

Always a must see show when in Vegas is Celine's show at The Colosseum, which never fails to pack them in.  I have seen the previous show featuring the Cirque Du Soleil influence and loved that version, I must have seen it three times over it's run.. This new show dispences with the Cirque dramatics and instead fills the stage with a sensational orchestra and lots of dramatic lighting and effects.. Celine looks sensational in a variety of costumes and she sounds as wonderful as ever.. This show is low on her previous hits but does feature many movie inspired songs with a tribute to James Bond among the highlights.. The finale of course features 'My Heart Will Go On', which of course is her signature tune.. Still packing a powerful punch even more so when Celine is raised into the air as a cascade of water showers around her.. A stunning finale to a spectacular show...

RICH LITTLE .. JIMMY STEWART & FRIENDS .. LV LAS VEGAS .. 2ND JANUARY 2013 ..

One of the legenday names of Amercian comedy is Rich Little who has been entertaining audiences on television and on the comedy circuit for over fifty years and is nicknamed the man of a thousand voices.. One of his closest friends was the legendary Hollywood actor James Stewart and this one man show tells Jimmy's story though the people he worked with over the years.. Of course this gives Rich an oppurtunity to re-create these legends with the skill of his many impersonations.. The show had a limited engagement at the LV in Las Vegas, but due to it's success it has extended for over a year now.. A show well worth seeing and in the intimate setting of the Shimmer Cabaret Room at the LV formely The Las Vegas Hilton..

VEGAS THE SHOW! ..THE SAXE THEATER .. LAS VEGAS ..DECEMBER 31ST 2012..

With Tezz, Trina & Lou
Since the demise of 'Folies Bergere' a couple of years ago, 'Jubilee!' has been the only true classic Vegas show on the strip.. But thanks to producer David Saxe who is no stranger to classic Vegas as his mother was a dancer in 'Folies Bergere' and his dad was a bandleader for The Rat Pack, a show paying hommage to all the legendary Vegas entertainers and show hit the strip in 2010 and it still plays to a sizeable audience today.. With a cast of over 30 and a live band, the show is high on variety.. Beginning in the neon graveyard and taking a step back in time to pay tribute to the nightclub acts of the 40's and 50's then on to the Rat Pack, the thrill of the Can Can, the legendary stars that played over the years and much more... Well worth a visit, Vegas the Show is a fitting tribute to Legendary Las Vegas!
